Why Bath Are Great For Your Health: Health Trends

Why Bath Are Great For Your Health: Researchers say a hot bath can help reduce inflammation and control blood sugar. But it’s not a substitute for exercise.

1.  It Can Help You Sleep Better:

A warm bath before bed can yield similar results. At night our body temperatures naturally drop, which signals the production of melatonin—or the sleeping hormone. Soaking in a warm bath will raise your body temperature, and exiting will more rapidly cool it down, thus instigating the production of melatonin, and better preparing you for sleep.

2. Moisturizes our skin:

We may not like the wrinkled skin we get after a hot bath, but it actually has a good effect on it. The warm water leaves the skin moist for longer and prevents it from drying up and getting those little cracks that often appear when it’s dry.

3. Improves blood circulation:

Why Bath Are Great For Your HealthDipping the body in hot water to the neck is kind of an exercise for your blood vessels. This is because water creates physical pressure on the body and so it increases the capacity of our heart. In other words, when we’re inside the water, the heart works faster and stronger. Consider this more like a light exercise and just a few dips a week is an excellent work out for your heart.

4. Have cleaner, healthier skin:

A good soak in hot water, be it a bath or shower, can open up the pores in our skin. And if the water is clean then it can wash some of the dirt and toxins from our skin. The result is fresher and cleaner skin.

5. It improves skin:

Nightly hot baths would end up drying out my skin, especially in winter months. But you may also add  oil. Sometimes a combo—and always applied lotion immediately after exiting the tub, skin wasn’t any worse off than it is after nightly showers. It actually seemed to become more moisturized with fewer dry patches. I’m also prone to getting skin irritations along our legs and the baths helped soothe these and calm redness.

6 .Reduces headaches:

Most types of headaches are caused by the narrowing of blood vessels in the head. The positive effect of the hot water on our blood vessels can be used to alleviate the pressure on those blood vessels and cure our headache.

7. Helps us feel better about ourselves:

8. They Burn Calories:

A soak is no match for water aerobics or active hydrotherapy, but a good sweat induced by a hot bath can burn as many calories as taking a walk.

9. Baths Can Soothe Irritated Skin:

While scalding baths can make your skin more irritated, a warm bath—in combination with certain essential oils, like coconut, olive, or lavender, and also oatmeal—can better hydrate and heal dry or irritated skin. Plus, aromatherapy is great for regulating your mood or reducing stress.

10. Keep your pores pretty:

When  we take a steamy shower or a hot bath, it opens up our pores and flushes out the dirt and toxins that build up throughout the day. Aside from just feeling cleaner, it also helps us look and feel better about ourselves when we take care of our skin.
